When less is more

At the 2010 Jamboree we had less outside support. We had less military involvement. We had fewer cars from GM. We had less well know entertainers. We had a key cabinet member rather than the president. We we had one great jamboree. God was really looking down on us.I was on security and we did have MP's help us, or we helped them. We had fewer MP's, but they were still extremely committed and helped out at key times when they were needed. We had fewer GM vehicles, but that meant that we were…See More

Steve, it is a true pleasure to welcome you as a Member of NationalJambo.Org! I respect greatly your contributions to the Jamboree program (both National and World). A major goal of our site is to keep the Jamboree "alive" now that the event is over, and also have it become a community for all those who have a great passion for National Jamborees. Hope you can reconnect with some of your Jambo friends from prior events. Good luck with the 1935 National Scout Jamboree patch contest. Please tell your other Scout friends and your Hawk Mountain Council about NationalJambo.Org so we can continue to build our online National Jamboree community. 2013 (and 2011) here we come! Doug Newsom
