I think that this is not the first Jamboree that has reissued patch of the day sets. It also happened in '05.

The patch of the day theory sounds good but in practice - the scouts end up waiting hours in line at a Trading Post instead of participating in activities. I like the idea of participants being able to preorder a set to be shipped home. Then they can spend the cooler hours of the day doing activities.

The subcamp reissue - They were there for order prior to the event so why not allow for order after.

I sure wish they would issue the subcamp patches in time for Christmas. Just not ready to go to ebay yet.

I think it is a great idea. The very fact that scouts had to wait in long lines and that Day Patches were difficult to impossible to get was idiotic at best. It is supposed to be about the scouts, about their experience and about their fun, not about making patches "highly collectable" or "valuable". Every scout who wanted a day patch should have been able to purchase one with little difficulty.

Again I wish they would re-issue the subcamp patches; even if they were a different border color. I have had no luck in trading for them. I will not pay 4x the price on ebay. It sure would be nice if they did it in time for Christmas.

Hi Bruce is my only son and I had never had anything to do with jamborees before and we were having big issues with my daughter so I didn't realize we could order the patches before jamboree I really hope they do re issue them I have even tried to find them on ebay and haven't been able to find them as a set and I really want a wholw set! does anyone know if they do re issue them how we will be able to find out and does anyone know where they can be purchased even on ebay but as a whole set?
